Welcome to AWIS Houston!

The AWIS Houston chapter is dedicated to supporting women in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine (STEMM) in Texas’s Gulf Coast and Houston region by providing opportunities to participate in professional networking, career development, mentoring, and leadership activities. We are here to build a strong community to help support one another and find ways to build each other up across the many STEMM fields!  

Our goals and objectives in 2025 are to:

• Deepen relationships among our members to create a support system for women in science and build camaraderie.
• Increase opportunities for STEMM professionals by expanding career development opportunities.
• Provide opportunities for networking across all STEMM fields.
• Strengthen community engagement through outreach activities.
• Continue to actively recruit chapter members and executive board members.
